What to see in Villa Jovita in Agoncillo ?

Villa Jovita is another resort to visit in the province of Batangas.
It is located in Barangay Santa Cruz, Agoncillo, Batangas.

You can visit the resort for just 100 pesos entrance fee. When we visited last April 2017, the resort is just on soft opening and we paid just 50 pesos for the entrance.

Unlike other resorts which showcases beach and sea side, Villa Jovita has swimming pool and access to river. One can swim on selected small part of a river. Since river has varying depth, other areas of the river are restricted or not endorsed to public due to security concern. Anyway, the resort provides a long relaxing view of the river.

During our visit, they have sunflower displays. It is a favorite spot for selfies and picture taking.
Sunflowers, bougainvilleas, quotes written on boards, were arranged around a simple wood bench.
It is a perfect spot for relaxation if there are less people who takes pictures.

The resort offers cottages, room, and tent for accomodation. The place is small and it can easily be overcrowded by visitors especially during peak season. There's more than one swimming pool but all of them are small.

I recommend Villa Jovita for small group of persons. We also suggest to make reservation in advance or inquire regarding the number of existing guests.

Also, the long stretch of river provides a beautiful panoramic view during summer and good weather but the view will be unpleasant or muddy during heavy rains.

Summer 2015 in Batangas

Wow! It's summer again once again which means overwhelming heat all over the Philippines.
And what can we do during summer? Of course, the top answer will be vacation trips and splashing in beaches.

Every summer, the popular destination in Batangas is Laiya (San Juan), Nasugbu and Anilao.
Some of the famous resorts in Laiya are La Luz, Blue Coral and Acuatico.  Nasugbu is also visited frequently by tourists because of its beaches and proximity to  Tagaytay. Some of Nasugbu beaches are Hamilo Coast, Punta Fuego, and Canyon Cove. Lastly, Batangas have Anilao which is not known for beaches but famous for being one of the top diving spots in the Philippines.

Lipa is only 2 hour drive from Manila. Lipa is one of the coldest cities in the Philippines but it is also get somewhat hotter during summer months. What is the solution for summer heat?  A cooler place! Basseri !

Ibaan in the province of Batangas is known as kulambo (mosquito nets) capital of the Philippines. Ibaan can also offer you the taste of Tamales. The closest food for tamales is suman 'ricecake' but tamales has its own twist. It's a combination of glutinous rice, chicken stock, ground roasted peanut.

Within a 3 hour drive Manila, you can reach a 5 hectare wide resort in Mainit, Mabini, Batangas

It is known as the Sea Spring Resort.

                                                          I realize that swimming in wavepools are a lot more fun to do than waves in the open sea. Maybe, because wavepools are artificial, people appreciate it more. All are mesmerized! Additionally, people are less scared because waves in pools are controlled or more predictable than sea. There are wave variations in wave pool but at least you are safer because wave pools are much narrower than the sea! (no sharks also hahaha) Watch more videos and shout with them!

Unlike nearby provinces like Nasugbu and Lian where Matabungkay resords are located, Tuy in Batangas only have few resorts. By the way, for those unfamiliar, Tuy is read as "Too-Wee". Some say it fast 'Twi'

Rosario is near San Juan where you can found the famous Laiya beaches. However, unlike San Juan, there are no beaches and sea shore in Rosario. Rosario is surrounded by land mass of San Juan, Padre Garcia, Taysan and Lobo.
